Going holidaying

Hi, me and the family decided to got to Burrum heads for a holiday and of course I'm taking the boat. So just wondering if I could get some advice on the best places to fish( my boat is a 4.75m centre concole 60 hp) obviously nobodies spot x but that would be nice. Heading up there around mid Dec for a week. Is there a chance of a barra up there or not far enough north, and what kind of fish will I most likly be chasing so I can buy appropriate gear (dont tell the wife:-X ).
Any help would be very appreciated and any spot X's andI'll have to buy you a beer.

marks for the burrum 8 mile are readily found online there is a Hervey Bay fishing site I can't think of the name right now with a GPS database.

Have a search of the ausfish reports and you will get some ideas of spots. I have only been there a few times. Nice spot for the family.

You might get a better response if you post this in 'saltwater'
