Hi Mike

I bought one when they were on sale before for hauling a tinny up a steep slope on very little wheels so lots of drag! Oiled the cable before I used it and no sign of any rust. Clutch, on off switch and power cable are all ok too

Works fine for such a cheap bit of gear and sure beats a hand winch.

Cheers

PS The SS bbqs were good last week too, daughters partner got one and he giving it a flogging.

Surely it would depend on the load you are going to subject it to ?
Pretty cheap though.. what sort of LB rating does it have ?

typically the camping tarp and roof basket dropped by $50 after I brought them on Thursday.

I bought one must be 2 years ogo for my 4mtr fibreglass pongrass husky it had 60hp motor on it . The winch used to work pretty hard but never failed i used to pull the boat back onto the trailer loaded with all our camping gear after a weekend away. Would be great for a bit lighter tinnie wouldn't work as hard mine was still going good after 18 months when i sold the boat .
