hey all just a small question, i know it can be done as i have seen it , but how do stern mount minkotas perform when mounted on the bow? my boat came factory with a bracket on the bow for a tiller steer leccy, but whats the go can you turn the coweling 180 degrees so forward is forward and reverse is reverse?? or do u just have to use the controlls inverted?? thanks nick..

1 bolt to pull out, turn the top 180, wack the bolt back in and you're done. An extention handle make it a bit easier.

Yeah im with callop on this one, just take it out turn it 180 and bob's your uncle champ!
if your really serious and are on a budget you'll be surprised at what you can conjour up!
even if your not on a budget too, just have a crack anyway!

yeah im on a bit of a budget, this will just hold me off until i can afford a bow mount, the old electrical apprentice wages dont leave much room for splurging. does anyone have this set up on their boat?? how do you find it??

It isn't perfect as you haven't got autopilot or foot control but definately better than not having it. Thats how I did it until I could afford the bow mount. Still got the minnkota 55 saltwater transom mount in the garage if you're interested.
