Woody you will require a Stocked Impoundment Permit plus the boat permit that covers both Somerset and Wivenhoe.

Other than that I can't help as I have not fished "W".

I have been trying to get down there for a while to have a go from a 16 ft canoe. No electric, paddle only.

I am hoping someone could let us know which ramps are open when travelling down from the Somerset direction.

There used to be access from the west side. I think it used to be used by the Grand fishing club. Closed during the drought. Also at Billeys Bay from the east side.

Any info would be appreciated folks.

Regards Gordon

Guys there is really only one public access point to Wivenhoe at the moment. That is Logans Inlet.

Hamon Cover is closed ATM due to low water level.

OS'heas Crossing is open but there's only a trickle of water there.

All other access points are either leased out or closed to the public permanently.

There's a map on Sweetwater website.
