Hi Good People,
Could someone please tell me if i am able use the one EPIRB in both my half cab an my tinnie.
Being in Gladstone there are a lot of places where i go in my tinnie that i have to have an EPIRB.
I have enquired at my local tackle store an the chap there was most helpful but was not sure about my question.
Any info would be great.
Thank you
Garry

Ring the 1800 number on this link http://beacons.amsa.gov.au/Buying_and_registering/
They rang me this morning and are really helpful.

I guess there is no reason to not use the same one in two Boats, unless it is registered with a description with a particular Boat, then it should be OK, you will never have both Boats out at once would you?

I registered my new epirb last week online. There is a section where you can register more than one vessel against the same epirb details.
Having seen this i would assume its ok to use it between two boats that you
are the owner of.

here's the link

Hi

The form has a box to include the vessel details (if applicable) so logic would suggest that you either register none vessel or try and register two with their respective details. The latter would seem the more better way of the options IMHO.
