Is there a product, that will lock a stainless screw into a plastic base,on my boat seats. They are always working loose over time.Need something that will not melt the plastic.

Try Loctite 242 Threadlocker...(i think it's 242 anyway)

Lokseal, can get it from Plumbing shops

or try a bit of thread tape around the screw

Dave, I would just cover the SS screw thread in silicone b4 screwing it in, should stop it working it's way out. Not sure if locktite would react to the plastic.
Cheers, Pete.

Threadlocker won't react to the plastic. I've used it before and we use it regularly at work.

You could try superglue on the screw then quickly wind it in with your screw gun. We attach some fittings on trucks with superglue on the threads going into plastic to take the movement out of the joint. Works a treat to stop hydraulic lines from undoing the retainer caps.
