johno/suzi prop same as merc confused

i have a counter rotating 140hp 4 st johnson/suzuki and need a 17 left handed prop
i have been told that a mercury and evinrude will also fit
does anyone know if this info is right and does any one have one
the only one i have found up here is a mercury, one mechanic at shop says it fits other says it doesnt

Yes I have been given the same advise, that the merc props fit. Was hoping to try one but never got the opportunity. I have the newer engine with the changed gearbox and had a lot of difficulty propping the engine, finally pretty happy in the end with a solas.
