Here is a pic of where it plugs in on the 225hp, not sure where the 140hp plug is located though, sorry.

Julian,

You can get the interface from trymax marine.

seawasp6666,

There is a big thread on this subject,

http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/showthread.php?t=127084&highlight=ep20

yes the interface is just above the fuse box. The plug is a yamaha gauge plug, (you would not belive how hard It was to find). Be warned the interface cable you buy will have the wrong connector on it, it will be the same as on the engine, (major stuff up by someone).

Browns point and several other guys have wired the interface directly into the dash, this disables your analogue gauges and can void your warranty, ( I spoke to Haines Direct).

Hi Honda
The interface cable has a round plug on the end browns point marine have a short cable to convert the round to a small square one so i shouldnt have any problems

seawasp6666,

Mate if you have a late model, 07 or 08 motor then thats when you have problems with the connector.

If your engine is an earlier model you do not need the cable from browns point the round connector supplied with the EP20 is all you need.

It's the cable from browns point that has the wrong plug on it, it is the same connector on the engine, instead you need a male version of the plug which you can get from a yamaha gauge harness.
