Certainly not the way we want to build them but worth keeping in the GPS for in a few months

Months? Whats peoples opinions on how long it would take for the wreck to show signs of activity?
Would bait schools shelter almost overnight?

Yep I would be asking the same sort of question (all be it that I live in Townsville) How long does it take for an artificial reef to start attracting (and holding) fish???::)

I would suspect the time it takes for toxic residues to leave the remainder of the hull would probably take a week or two then I suspect fish will start to colonize it.

If it did not burn to the waterline i would think almost overnight there would be new residents appearing.

Jack.

Lot of water moves in and out on a sandy bottom through that area - I wonder if it will stay there

I reckon your right Greg - this will sand over in a few months with the water currents in that area. Darren.

It would be interesting if a member could post a sounder picture of the wreck!
