Here is some good news on the development of Lake Kurwongbah as a fishery. Our data collection appears to be showing an average size of 15cm for the Bass population. When the 12 month point rolls around in Feb 09 we are hopeful the average size will be approaching 30cm.
And while the growth rate slows at around 28cm, it wont be too much longer before we see bass of a legal size in the Lake.
The project is on track for meeting most of it's objectives.:)
