Hi guys,

My boat sold on ebay the other day and the guy that bought it is in Perth and is struggling to get transport people to take it over to him. Do any of you know of transport companies that I can put this guy in touch with and get an estimate of cost?

Cheers,
Chris

Try Trewin Logistics. I think they have recently changed their name but i can't remember what to. They moved mine (5.5m Center Console) from Cairns to Perth. Cost was about $8500. I have used them twice with no problems. Numbers I have are Ph 07 3804 7877 for Qld and 08 9459 6676 for WA.

I found a couple of other companies (cant remember any names sry just search yellow pages online under boat transport) that were able to do but their quotes were higher than Trewin and to be honest they were bloody slow in getting back to me and/or were hard to get in touch with. Would be best to get at least 3 quotes though IMO.

Hope this helps.

Hey,

Also try Aquatic Boat Transport. 0402 795 891.

Brett is the man. I have sent a few over with him with no dramas.

I've used AWS Customs to move my 5.2KC from Nelson Bay (2hrs North of Sydney) to Perth cost me just over $4k. They stuck it on a ship which is why it's cheaper (I think). And they move BIG boats/yachts internationally so they know what they are doing. It is a bit more hassell as you have to deal with %$%^& wharfies (I had to give the wharfies a carton to speed up the process and get my boat) but you'll save thousands, nothing will get damaged, chipped, stolen etc etc.
