hi guys
i have a markham whaler 3.8 with a 30 yamaha on the back it push,s 18 knots with 2 up on a good day but , the transome is rate,d for a 40
so my question is this how can i get more out of my 30 with out going to the expence of buying a forty for it just for that bit more top end to get me to the spot quicker

My first suggestion would be to make sure it's propped right. There are companies that will give free advice on this based on the boat/motor specs you give them. You probably know who they are but if not just PM me.
