would firstly like to thank all those who have offered advice on getting started in Kayaking http://www.kfdu.com.au/forum/images/smilies/Drogar-Happy(LBG).gif
Mal at Sunstate Hobie took the time to point me in the right direction & Jason at Ken Sinns in Hervey Bay did me a great deal on a Hobie "Outfitter" http://www.kfdu.com.au/forum/images/smilies/Drogar-SunGlass(LBG).gif
Will be going out with the wife for our first "peddle" tomorrow - so hope to post some pics of the "christening" http://www.kfdu.com.au/forum/images/smilies/Drogar-Happy(LBG).gif

Be warned Scott catching fish from a kayak is highly addictive.....Im thinking Goldens of the flats would be a hoot. Hope your enjoying your new life style and the climate that goes with it....:)

Headed out to the Burrum for our maiden voyage with the new Hobie "Outfitter" http://www.fishntales.com/forum/Smileys/default/cool.gif
Picked a fairly challenging launch site straight up - But I have wanted to fish this area for a while http://www.fishntales.com/forum/Smileys/default/wink.gif
Katrina took to the Yak like a duck to water & we where away !
No fish - plenty of exploring & getting used to fishing from the yak - need a full day out next trip !
Heading down South next week to visit our parents in Sydney , Windang ( lake Illawarra ) & back up to our old stomping grounds in the snowies for a look. Will be taking the Yak - so hope to "blood" it next outing http://www.fishntales.com/forum/Smileys/default/cool.gif
Happy Yakking - Scotto
