Hi guys,
Any ideas on a large plastic storage container that I can secure to the end of a jetty to hang rods and reels off the inside of the lid, and have all excess fishing gear in the bottom, or in an underneath cupboard.
Wanted to build a hut at the end of my jetty which would have had secure,handy stowage for my gear, plus a deep freeze for Ice and bait, little work bench---you get the idea--- but the wife and local council have no imagination, and even less sense of humour.
Am sick of lugging everything around the side of the house in the dark.
Anyone overcome this problem.

Why not have a trolley setup with all your gear ready to go that you can easily wheel into place?

Thanks Jack,
No room to store the trolley.

You could get an alloy ute box custom made. The US style FG dock boxes do not seem to be available here.

Hi John

Aldi just had as a special a bench seat which has enough storage room for a couple of full size fish bins. The seat lid lifts up and it is lockable.

No-one eg wife or Council could possibly object to a bench seat in enviromentally sensative colours being positioned on a jetty for multi use purposes could they?

Which Council are you refering to by the way?

Cheers

Thats the go! Who would think of raiding a bench seat for your fishing gear?

Whoa Jack;

I wouldn't leave the crown jewels in it; just the basic, replaceable, cheap stuff just in case!
