hi i have a webster twinfisher 4.6 metre and was wondering if anyone else out there has the same boat and what kind of top speed they are getting out of thier boat. also what kind and size motor they are running. mine has a yamaha 60hp 4 stroke and i only manage to get about 43 kl/ph flat out, although i can cruise around all day in most conditions so the top speed isnt a real concern for me, just interested in what anyone elses does. any recommendations on a prop to gain some more top speed without sacraficing too much in other areas?? any input would be greatly appreciated cheers :):)

Hello Snapperback, we need more data, what rpms at full and cruise, what size prop(diameter and pitch), as much as you can.
I have a 4.3 with a Yamaha 60hp 2s. 13 X 17 prop. The 60's have the big gearbox as they are a de-rated 70.
Full speed is 28 knots(GPS) at 5250 rpm, does this with one or four POB.
Planes at 3000 for 12 knots, cruise 4000 for 18 knots.
43 kph = 23 knots which compared to my lighter boat with a 2s is probably about right.

hi crocodile,
my top speed of 43 kph is at 5700 rpm. Cruising at about 18 knots the motor is turning at 4600 rpm. As for the propeller im pretty sure its a 13 inch but not sure about the pitch, where can i find the pitch number?? like i said i knew it wasnt going to be a fast boat but a few extra knots top speed would be nice aswell as a lower cruise rpm. The boat gets on the plane no complaints whatsoever even with 4 people on board. Great fishin boat by the way dont ya agree crocodile? :)

If you look carefully all over the prop you will find some markings such as 13X17, first number is diameter, second is pitch.
