Does anyone know of any web sites with footage showing long distance casting.
I think most are held at some park or oval

Hey Mate,

google jersey casting club i think its www.myfishcasting.com (http://www.myfishcasting.com) and have a look on there, or google John Holden, neil mackellow. that should get you what you are looking for there are a few different styles of long distance casting for example off the ground casting and pendulum casting also a variation known as the back cast if you need any more info give me a shout.

I wonder if any organisation ever considered holding a casting competition around se qld before. Perhaps accuracy and distance competition.

Maybe something some of the tackle outlets or manufacturers may wish to consider?

Louis, they do. The Queensland branch of the A.A.A.(Australian Anglers Association) hold annual State Titles. There are also the National AAA titles held every 2 years.

At least one of their member clubs used to have a few casting days throughout the year as well. Not sure if they still do.

I used to have contact details for them, but unable to find them now, sorry.
