Has anybody purchased and installed one of those after-market trim and tilt devices advertised in Queensland Fishing Monthly?

The way I have decked out my explorer as a bass boat for estusary fishing and this means that I have to lean out to lift the outboard when approaching the ramp. I have pulled a muscle twice and am considering installing one. They are about $950 and distributed thru Cabulture.

The outboard is only a 15 hp long shaft but the angle and stretch is the problem and of course too many birthdays.

Be gratfull to hear from any member who knows anything about them.

Regards Chappy

Hi Chappy,

I assume you are talking about the CMC Tilt and Trim units? Their website link is here;

There are a few previous threads here about them;

Thanks Dave,

Thanks for the links and once I have fitted one, I will post the results. We cant let age deter us from fishing.

There is an old bloke down here at Tin Can that tows his little tinny to the ramp with his electric gopher, complete with little orange flag and all.
Now thats determination. So I am hoping this device will keep me on the water longer.

Regards and best wished
