hi guys (and girls),
i own a webster twinfisher 4.6 metre with a yamaha 60hp 4 stroke on the back. my top speed is about 43 k/ph , not sure what that is in knots exactly sorry..but was just wondering if anyone out there owns the same boat and what top speed they are getting, what motor and propeller they are using also. i know these boats arent exactly the fastest going around and am happy with its performance for a fishing boat but curious as to what u guys are getting at WOT. ill be interested to hear your results,
cheers people :)

43kph = 23.2 knots = 26.7mph

Sounds a tad slow for that motor. There is a test in the latest issue of Modern Fishing of a 4.9m Twinfisher with an 80hp Yammy 4stroke. Top speed was just under 30knots at 5,800 rpms.

I would have thought you should be getting high 20's knots say 26 to 29 if it is set up right. Do you have a tacho?, if so what was max revs you achieved?

Cheers

I have the 4.3 with a 40 2 banger Evinrude. Top Speed on a glassed out bay was 24kt at WOT 5800rpm. Mostly average around 20kt. Had a different prop on while mine was being fixed and it reved too hard for less speed.
