hey fellas got up this morning and couldnt let the day of epic weather go past without takeing the tinny outside. me and a mate went out to massouds reef without much luck and then moved close to the headland within about 100m of the rocks. found a good patch of reef and after a few drifts came up with a nice coral trout. it went 55cm . it put up a good tussle on 8lb fireline and 14lb leader and the 2500 luvias. the plastic was a 5inch jerk shad in the pink shine colour.. it was a bit hit and miss at some stages of the fight.. cheers nick;) sorry about the crap photos but i forgot my camera and had to use my phone...

Thats a good fish for in close nick. Is that the first one you've got from there? Could have crossed the bar in anything yesterday. How far out did the dirty water stretch? Cheers. Keith

bloody awesome catch mate. Small boat, light line, SP and probably the best eating fish in the sea - can't ask for better. Well done mate. I'm envious.

Great catch mate!! Got to love the taste of Coral tout too;)
We ventured out there Saturday also but couldn't find the fish:( I can't believe how calm the bar was hey!!

Keith, we went out at the start of the run in so didn't see how far out the stained water got to (it was clean inside the bar at this stage), although on the way back there was a very defined line cutting off the Noosa woods area from the main channel!

Cheers
