Nobites and I left the Kawana Waters boat ramp early Monday morning, the charts and sea-breeze looked to good to resist so a couple of days off work were required.
Caught Alexander leaving at the same time. Headed for some livies with no luck so continued out to the Northern banks. When we got to our spot it was already occupied so we were forced into finding some new ground. It didn't take long before we spotted some nice pinnacles ripe for the picking. Anchored up and began bearlying hard and started to bring in snapper/squire on floaters. Decided to keep only 55cm plus. Reached our quota of snapper/squire by about 2.30pm. Started hunting some other species until 6.30pm. Wind really picked up through the night (20 knots plus). By the morning the wind had dropped off so we continued our hunt until about 1pm.
All-in-all a great night out with a few fish for the table.
Final count
Snapper/Squire - 10
Tusk Fish - 5
Pearl perch - 4
Moses perch - 2
Gold spot wrasse - 2
Dewy - 1
