Went out for a mornings charter with 'Gone Fishing' on Thursday. First stop was the bait grounds off the seaway and floatfished a whole squid on a double hook 8kg threadline rig. Landed a nice Cobia (about 14kg) on first drift - gave a great 15 minute fight on the light tackle and went round the boat a couple of times. Had three kids on board who were stacked and then out performed their dads with some small stuff. Unfortunately they had to throw most of the undersized squire and trag back - but still thought it was great fun. Nothing else fired up but had a few shark cut into the slimies and take off with the bottom tackle out at the 24's.
And that was that - good feed, a couple of whales and good fun to see the kids getting involved. P :-*
