The Ambos seem a bit quiet at the moment for the jiggers, is this just me or are others finding the same, we were near Liberty when he caught his GT a couple of weeks ago and thought things might change, but not as yet:(.
Any luck out there ??:-/

Hey Greg,

Found plenty of willing snapper on the plastics but no AJ's.

Likewise Pete, 3 trips for 1 Bonnie and 1 Pearlie on the jigs in the same area :(, some nice Snapper, King Snapper and Southern Fusilers on baits:), still learning the arts of SP's though, :-/ but cetainly trying.
Neil Griffith [Jones Tackle] scored a honker of an Ambo on 10kg mono and bait a little while ago, not bad from another jigging nut :stupid:;D.

Pete, might catch you out there, what boat are you normally in??
This is my golden oldy Blackfin 'Hot Shots'

There about just did a trip off noosa and got 11 to 39kg and the smallest 18kg but this particular spot is always on fire but some years there are big numbers on it to 10kg and other years you won't get them under 15kg but their might only be a dozen or so but i don't find the real big fish over 20kg respond very well to jigs but love live pearlys and especially silver trevally.

Thanks Troy, the old 'Hot Shots' is still doing it's bit, but these days she's more of a Jigging platform than a Billfish chaser, I presume you still have 'Ooglie'?
