best place to buy a console

Hi I live on the fraser coast and was wondering if anyone new of the best place to buy a centre console for my 4.2 tinnie. Is buy a premade one or getting one made the cheaper option. I don't need anything fancy just a basic console. Any ideas would be welcome.

How big do you want it and does it have to be new?

could you put up a rough size and design of what you require I might have a used one that would do

If Ifishcq cant help, BIAS boating have a plastic one thats about the cheapest "new" console you'll find.
I did all the sums a while back, wasnt going to get out of it with a lot of change out of a grand buying new bits. Quotes I got from local metal fab guys to fold/weld up a basic one were astonishingly expensive.

I was in the same boat a while back. Galeforce boats make and sell a nice one and there is the BIAS plastic option that seems quite sturdy. BCF has some alloy ones but they seem light duty. They may become more rigid when attached to the boat.
I decided to make a mold and build a fibreglass one and it came out great. A day or so's work and a few $100 and you have one the shape and size you want

Thanks for the replies. ifishcq1 I was looking for a console with the dimensions roughly 400mm wide, 300 deep and about 900 high. Less than 400mm wide would be fine it need only have room for the steering wheel, small sounder and small gps. If I can't find what I want or if they are too expensive I may have to just make it myself. I suppose at least that way I can get exactly the dimensions that I require.

Yeah I think that would be a bit big for my tinnie. But thanks for the offer. Bemuda centre consoles are $299, I might figure out how much to make one.
