Has anyone got, or know of, a portable sounder for sale?
I want one foer my canoe.

For canoes these are the ducks guts and also available in a sidelooker version. They run on 3 x c cell batteries which solves more spacial problems with canoes.

I've spent ages scouring the net for a portable.
There was a hand held thingy from Hawkeye, but the fishin' buddy looks like the best.

Hummingbird make one using 2 dolphin torch batteries,mine is an eagle one using 8 d cells or 1 sealed battery and I dont know of any s/hand sorry.

Hi there,
I have a fish finder which has a tranducer with a suction cup to attach it to the back of the boat/canoe which effectively makes it portable. It is not for sale but I am just letting you know such things are available, although I wouldn't have a clue about how many makes have them. It needs a normal 12v battery, but guess you could get a small one which wouldn't take up much space. Mine is a Lowrance.
