With some points provided from my good neighbour, myself and the family had a late start today heading off to some uncharted waters just off of Mackay.

It was a bit of a slow start but when the young bloke was instructed to let the burley trail flow it was all hands on deck.

I have never seen spotties swarm in such a way. They were just like bees. We had at least 200 fish up to 1 metre surrounding the boat.

We were caught unawares with only 8olb mono leader where light wire would have done the trick.

We had five rods all of which were bitten off. We managed two good sized spotties and the kids had an absolute ball.

The minister has given her permission to spend a few bucks on wire trace, extra gangs and a few more blocks of pillies.

I love it when the wife asks when the next trip is!!!

I should have a few pick to follow shortky.

Cheers

Mark.

When are you back in Mackay Wags?

Word around town is the Macs are at their peak around Septmeber.

The neighbour said catching 40 per boat in no more than 2 hours is no real mean feat.

They catch a feed each day, daily!

Cant wait.

Drop me a line!!!

Cheers

Mark
