Was just wondering if they still get good snapps around Split, The light house and Pig?

My mother in law lives in Coffs Harbour and been fairly game enough to take the boat down there for a visit, to head offshore, but I just don't hear reports, or do people devulge any further information in regards to catching fish in this area.

Yeah they still get good snapper in those areas. Was speaking to a mate the other night who lives there and he reckons the snapper are going off down there at the moment.

He got some nice kings off blackrock a couple of weeks back 8-13kg.

Yeah, I lived down there for 24 years & didn't know if it was worth dragging the boat down at Xmas.

Mate i would'nt bother in December. Crap currents that time of year, the water is usually black and cold and you will find the snapper quieten off during November. You would be better off trying for a jewie land based. Maybe a kingie off the light.

I was there for 11 years and thats what i found during my time there at that time of year.
