Would it help what Wally? What problem are you having?

Also good or bad? It can be both. Many a pod has ruined a good boat. Others will run great. If the pod is a full depth pod (ie: hull extension) it will typically perform very well, just as if it was a transom mounted engine.

If its a stepped pod (not full depth and no bouyancy) these can be a real problem. Some boats wil be OK others will not. A V17 being a narrow hull to begin with may seriously suffer from the unsupported outboard weight being 600mm aft of the transom wall.

Cheers
