Can you buy power tilt and trim for 2st motors of about 40-50hp as i have been looking at some boats for sale second hand and they dont have the trim and tilt function. Is there a generic brand for this type of thing. That size out board is to heavy to lift. and where do you get them and what brands are good.
Thanks Shane

First of all what brand of motor are you considering? Just went thu the same thing, had a good 40hp mariner electric start , tiller steer no trim and tilt. To buy a new trim and tilt to fit was $1600.00 not a option, and because of the age (2001) it had to be exact no other model serious would fit. Chased one from Darwin to Adelaide no joy, So i bought a new one(motor that is ). Best way is to source parts from outboard wreckers if you have a motor in mind. I have seen a after market brand i think it is called CMC ? on Ebay sell for around $800 to $900 . Good Luck Mark
