TLD 25 questions (sorry double post)

My TLD 25 seems to retrieving all of the line in the centre of the drum is this common?

Also how do I set the drag correctly?

Yep,

they don't have a level wind so they do that if you don't guide the line with an educated thumb.

I set it by putting the rig into a rod holder and using scales to pull drag. See the link below for an illustration on how to do it.
