went out off beach between the surfurers enjoying the swell that just wont die down, bit early for close in ground after a couple of drifts for one missed chance and one small sambo, headed out to wider grounds in around 55m.havent tried plastics out that far so decided to have a go while the old hard heads stuck with bait.found a trap not far from mark with a bit of a show on sounder up off the bottom,1 ounce jig head with 7"pink shine gulp on about three quarters down stop for awhile few touches but no hook ups bit like the way trag play with soft plastics, that just dont seem to smash like other fish.next drop down put rod in holder turn around and notice line ripping out a bit quick for free falling lure, lock up and rod arks up big time....bait boys shake heads yet again.after seeing mono backing a few times fish turns and long haul sees him into net,2500 capricorn reel probably bit out of its leauge in deep water but done job anyway, fish weighed in at a little over 7kgs got another one at just under 5kgs and a few panners, will get foggy to post pic thanks cousin ps go the blues!!!!!!on wed night
