As I am still waiting for my new boat, only 9 weeks overdue now....I thought I would share a tip for anyone who is after some really high end braid.......Ive got castaway, finns, jigga 8, fireline etc....but nothing has come anywhere near the smoothness and diameter of daiwa surf braid....Now i havent actually used this braid yet, ive just bought it.....so i cant really comment on knot strength etc, but wow it feels amazing!! Nothing I have seen even gets close! I bought it to add some distance to my surf casts....i think its going to be very nice.

there is also a braid from rapala coming out that has the sensitivety of braid but stretched like mono so not as many hooks are pulled.
that surf braid sounds nice what breaking strains do they come in?

The range is large...i got 20lbs (i need a but strength as it is going on a surf rod with a med-hv action), my mate got a 15lbs spool....the 15lbs stuff was ridiculous thin and smooth...no noise off the spool or the guides....
