Went for a bash off Mooloolaba today with not a lot to report. Was a little rougher than we expected so we ditched the plan to fish Cal wide and 12mile and kept in close near the Blinker and saved some fuel. Did not get a touch on the bottom rigs but got a Snap and Squire on the floaters in the berly trail. One of which I got on me new combo so was glad to christen it ;D

Very very slow indeed.
Did anyone else do any good today?

We got e few squire early today. I am interested in the timings of your catching the 2 fish. Was it before 8.30 am?

Yes it was before 8:30 then it just shut down and we had a heap of bait and fish shows on the sounder after that and couldn't get a touch.

Hi they seem patchy at the moment. I fished the banks friday arvo/night managed to rake up a feed but very slow. They started coming on around 10pm but had to come in unfortunatly, 12 fish in total 3kg snap the biggest my mate caught a 3kg mangrove jack 1st ive seen out there. Great to christen a new combo with a quality fish hey, cheers.

We fished Murphy's from about 5am and only boated one squire until 7am.
Then they started coming on board steadily.
We ended up with 6 good snapper to 6kg and 2 squire.
No bottom action at all.
No cod, parrot or anything undersized.
We thought it very strange.

Fished in a little bit closer again myself. I scored not a touch. My mate in my boat got a squire just as the sun was coming up. My mate in his boat got a squire a sweety (small but legal) and was smoked by 2 horses. Yep all before 8;30. All on plastics. Ben
