Took a friend out fishing on a boat for his first time.

Plan was to leave Manly early Sat aftornoon, but ended up leaving a little late. We got to the South Passage Bar at last light and crossed the bar easily but found conditions to be rough at best so decided to stay close to Straddie near Shag rock for the night.

Nice cup of coffee and a hot feed was welcome as the deckie was a bit ill. Kept his lunch though so proved to be a fighter against these virgin testing conditions.

Woke a little later than we wanted and pushed out to a little spot where I have bagged out on squire before and proceeded to get into the squire. Ranging from just under legal to 43cm. We kept six and then at around 8.20 ish they shut down. That was what I expected from the Wtides predictions and We could not raise a scale after that.

Watched the dozen or so whales in the area a bit and the brought the deckie back to terrafirma. 80 litres and a nice feed for both of us.

Thankyou Ryan for the good company and I hope we nail them for a longer period Next time.
