View Full Version : Stripping bottom paint
two up

I am about to strip the antifoul of the bottom of my 20' bertram as it now lives permanently on the trailer. Has anyone used a product called Sailstrip ( I think ) to take the paint off. I was quoted $100 per ft to soda blast, so I think that will be a last resort. I had a go at scraping, took 10 mins to do about a half square ft, and my arms were aching after that pathetic effort. The paint is interspeed 2000 which is pretty hard and after many applications is very lumpy to say the least. I will repaint with 2 pac after being done.
Thanks in advance.

G'day
Do a search here for a recent shark cat thread, i cannot say for sure if it's member "liquid remedy" or not, but there were pages and pages of methods of anti foul removal.
Both physical and chemical applications were discussed in detail
