Hi everyone,

I've got an 1988 model Haines Hunter that I've had for about 15 years and it is in need of some work on the presentation of the boat. Structurally it is fine, the transom, floor etc has all been re-done and the motor is fine.

The gelcoat/fibreglass has gone an off white with scratches etc in the coat, and the gunnel is pretty warn from fishing line etc.

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend or give me an idea of what can be done to make it look newer and presentable. Whether to repaint it, or get the gelcoat re-done i'm not sure. Also, if anyone is aware of the price of some of these.

Cheers

buff the gelcoat, wipe the gunnel rubber down with turps.
also replacing the decals is a cheap way to improve the boats appearance

Hey mate as stuie said have a look at the detailing thread and give it a go but if you dont have any luck send Dave (Blackened) a pm and get him to do it for you and after he does it and gets looking nice then you will be able to really keep on top of it.
