Bassin at Maroon

Hi,

Just wondering has anyone fished Maroon in the past few weeks or know of anyone who has, and how did you/they do. As i am heading down there Wednesday and just wondering how the lake is fishing.

Any help would be very much appreciated

dont want to put a damper on your trip but they had ahuge fish kill here not long ago and from all reports its not fishing well at all . id be trying maroon dam its just over the hill abit and the fish seem to be on the chew, cheers bdowdy..brett

After a bit of consideration i decided to go to Maroon on wednesday, so if anyone can help it would be great.

Fish are holding about 20ft downnear the rail tracks that bring the pump down to the left of the wall. Jigging pulls these up easy. Can fish surface lure on the flats up the back of the river on the right side. But fish surface real slow they spook easy and get right in the shallows, I'm talking 1 to 2ft of water. That should help you out the rest are secret squirrel spots.
