I have a 22ft coxcraft pantera with a 1997 175 mariner 2 stroke.I'm looking at upgrading motor to a new 4 stroke.I would like to get a 225 hp,but on coxcraft website they have boat rated to 220 hp:-/ .I have emailed them about it but no reply,however I'm goig to ring them as well.I was speaking to a salesmen today & one suggested that I could get a marine surveyor to look at boat & rate it to 225.Has anyone done this.Boat is for private use only.
