The longboat design enables easy planing and the ability to carry heavy loads along with a very shallow draft. (Can be loaded with camp gear and poled through shallow creeks only inches deep).

These boats are used by charter operators in North Queensland due to their versatility and room. Excellent for estuary and soft plastics fishing as you have access to cast 360 degrees around the boat. This boat comfortably fishes the bluewater off the Qld Coast.

We have retained her in gret condition..

Asking $34,900

Nice rig should sell , long and skinny means good ride, good economy and fishes like a jetty... once people actually ride in them they become believers

Thanks IFISHCQ.. you are spot on.. the boat comes into its own at places like Wathumba Creek (Fraser) were you can get in anytime other than a dead low!!

then out to hit the macks/longtails while the others are waiting for mid/high tide..

Hey Howson,
How heavy is the boat & trailer - for towing?

Howso

Hi lamonsta,

the hull is approx. 450kg
motor approx. 150kg
total weight of 600kg

The trailer I believe weighs about 300kg but I do not know for sure.. add fuel gear and so on I believe it comes in at around 1100-1200kg.

I am pretty sure we were told abour 1200kg (fully laden) when we bought it and that it can easily be towed by most six cylinder cars (falcon, commodore) and any respectable diesel.. I have a Nissan Pathfinder (diesel) and you don't even know it is on the back..!

hope this helps and thanks for your interest..!

I'd say we will be looking rigurously over the next few months.. Probably look for a half cab or something with some cover to keep the missus happy..
