I need a new 8-10kg overhead rod for floating pillies from a boat, about
5ft 6inches to 6ft, and light as possible.
I have seen a Strudwick and a Steve Starlo rod that look OK.
Any suggestions fellers?

Depends on your budget - But I'm a big fan of live fibres (RLF22 or RLF18)

The live fibres are nice. I have a 20kg black bass for my heavy stuff. Great reef rod. I just had a look at the Blade 10kg cork grip, might be a contender.

Hi all
I recently bought a live fibre 8-10 and think its fantastic. Will be a great outfit when I go back for the baitrunner to go with it.

If you are just dropping a line over the side a basic glass rod is fine and all you need.I was caught in buying a live fibre texalium $290... 6 foot which worked out to be a waste of good money as glass is all thats needed..silly me..didn't research enough..
