If you wait until the end of the year I have heard that the 115HO Etec will be released. Might be worth considering.

We have had our 115 Etec for twelve months now. It replaced a 1993 2stroke 115 Yammie on a Southwind SR17 (5.3m). In summary we couldn't be happier. Fuel consumption is down 30% compared to our old Yammie and the motor starts instantly every time (summer and winter) without having to worry about throttle or choke settings.

Trolling outside we use just 1 liter per hour at 5 knots. It's a great motor!

Hey Joe, this might sound like a dumb question, but why would you want to update your e-tec if it's only done 450 hours? So you can keep ahead of the re-sale curve or has it worn out :-[?

I think you will find his existing motor (brand and model not disclosed) has done 450hrs and he is thinking about replacing it with an E-Tec 115hp.

Cheers
