dose anyone know how to find salt water yabbies with bait pumps

Look for a flat sandbank that has good tidal flow over it and millions of holes about 6mm diameter. Often you will see holes with freshly pumped out sand around the edges from the yabby increasing his home size.

These flats that Jack spoke of are usually in the vicinity of Mangroves.

You do require water mixed with the sand to be able to pump well so you are not sucking air. Work the half to low tide.

Once you have found a spot that appears productive then work it.

If you can imagine the Yabbies are following a band along the water line that suits them well then follow this.

If the bank looks like it has been well pumped then you know they are there and there will still be some more around for sure.
