if not a Haines, then it is certainly some sort of a "flop" (copy)

bobbyb, what length is it? is the gunnel rubber falling off to the transom or is it following the line of the deck / hull joint? does it have a round bilge? any more photo's? they would really help alot of people to answer your question.

OH, if that is the shape of the deck to hull joint, then a Haines is out, I thought it was just a painted stripe or something, could be almost anything I guess, don't remember a Monark having that shape join, but they may have made some at one time.

I was thinking a Mustang or Cruise Craft as the chines are straight at the front not turned up like the Haines

The type is straight forward. I guess you're wondering about the maker. Have you tried asking the transport department to conduct a search. If you're in luck, the original rego might come up with a brand name or maker. Otherwise I suppose you will have to see what Ozfish members come up with. There is a wealth of knowledge out there.
