gaday i just popped into my local marine shop.

out the front they had a 40lb remote control bow mount minn kota. i cant remember but i think it was the all terrain model or something like that.

it was reduced from $1090 to $400 :P

is that a fair price?

the bloke in the shop said they selling them due to a discontinued model and want to get rid of them?

wot u reckon?

Thanks

Jock

If it's a new motor and has full warranties, go for it.

you better get down there this morning and grab it before you regret not getting it yesterday. Well, as long as it's the right motor for your boat that is.

No you wouldn't be able to tilt it up without major rebuild of the bow rail.

You could buy it and send it up to me, serious.

You will have to chop some of the bowrails, but why wouldnt you? A leccy is an upgrade to your fishing capabilities, and you wont regret it.

$400 sounds too cheap. Are you sure its not a Jarvis Walker marine snake one?

Search thru some old threads and see some pics of how others have done it.
Dont forget youll need a sep battery.

I modified the bow rails on my tinnie to fit a bow mount. Don't regret it at all. Just make sure you have it professional done (mine cost about $150 to modify) including welding a plat on the deck to attach a quick release bracket (would recommend one of those.
