Went for a quick troll on monday off Gladstone in a mates boat and a flick at the local mack tuna. I used a big red and white rapala while the mate used a plastic wolf herring imatation for hopefully a spanish. Well the action was non existant and as usual the stuff this, we will troll to them next rocks and thats it was made when i had a fish hit the rapala. It had me guessing as to what it was until it hit the surface.... a bloody 45cm squire ate the 22cm lure:o. High fives and a WHAT THE were made and we back tracked our route.We were in 13 metres of water between reefs & there was nothing on the sounder to be seen, nothing but sand. A few drifts with bait and zilcho as well. Must have been his unlucky day! Went and flicked lures at mac tuna after that and got these two for reef bait and went home ( will be using them tomorrow so hopefully another report).
