Cruisecraft Regal 475

Hi guys,

I need some advice. Getting out of a 445 hornet and am looking at a CC Regal 475 for some outside fishing. Have also been looking at Seafarer viking 5.5 and CC explorer but finding them hard to afford particularly later models. Has anyone owned, fished in or currently own a Regal and if so how do they rate in the rougher waters? I'm looking at a 2000 model with Yamaha 90 2 stroke with all the gear including clears etc. for around $16500.

I had a CC Regal 4.75m and it handled the rough pretty good although saying that it had a 60 two stroke on the back and was under powered. I am thinking now that it was smooth in the rough because flat out it would only go 19 kts ! I would have loved to put an Etec 90 on the back and see how it went.
For offshore fishing I wouldn't recommend it, just too small.
I now have a Haines Signature 5.42m with a 140 Suzuki on the rear .... just love it !!!

Regal is a good inshore fishing boat for two people !
