Anyone confirm what this is? I called it a turrum yesterday before releasing it, but am not 100% sure. Caught while casting to tuna yesterday off Yeppoon.

It is a Trevally, and not a Turrum.
Bludger will fit the bill.
The body is marked with faint greenish - brown spots and blotches. It is a good diagnostic character that the breast is totally naked to the level of the base of the pectoral fin.
They are considered poor eating quality, although the Japanese regard them highly.
Family:- Carangidae
Carangoides gymnostethus
I have eaten these fish, bleed immediately and iced, they are good.
