boss had the best fishing day ever yesterday with creek to coast i cant reveal anymore as the detrails from the boss have become very vauge and you will just have to wait for the show.
but thought the photos justify a post

yes thats troy and harpuka with some blue eye as well (smaller fish to the side)

spiro the blue eye are great chewing ,better then hapuka . i used to catch them offf the shelf at Port Macquarie . Kitty kat when is going to be aired on tv.

Nice fish Wayne.

Wayne if you wouldn't mind, could you please ID a cod i caught a little while back. Its in an a Threat by FrankOO called "ambo's for ambo's" on about page 6 by now. You seem to be in the know with these sort of fish. If its a bloody bar Cod i waisted 30min releasing it!

Thanks for the info but that is slightly deeper than i was hoping to go I've heard they catch them in about 200 - 300 m. I have an alvey reef master winch but 600m would be too much winding, you would need the reef king at least. Have you got any at that depth and what sort of wieght did you have on for a sinker. Talking to a couple of guys they use break aways so you don't have to haul the weight back up. Thanks again might give it a go next weekend when I go up to Rainbow.

hay guys up here in qld we call them bass gropper and hapuka are longer more like a cobia thats lighter in color but same basic design, how good do the blue eye look !!!beautiful blue with like a gold run through the body looks awsome , ????bar cod?? ??did ya boss get any of them ?? or flame snapper ??

Pics do the title justice. Rarely do we see photos of such deep dwellers and I would never get to fish for them at that depth.
