It was good out on the bay today, a light southerly early that turned into a 10 to 15 knot max SE.

Cheers

Some of us are lucky enough to have been born on the 23rd. of April and have an understanding boss who says things like "Enjoy your birthday, I am giving you the day off so go and enjoy fishing!" Looked at Seabreeze and tomorrow morning should be as good as the weekend only less fellow boaties to contend with. How fortunate. ;D

Yeah Graeme,

Unable to maintain and house it properly mate. It kept getting egged in the drive so I thought it had to go before it went downhill. Also, I couldn't justify the expense considering how little it was getting used. The kids and deckie didn't want overnighters and just wanted more room to move when fishing so a Stacer 529 Nomad is the go with a 90 4 stroke merc:

With a few bob left over to take 'em off to the UK for a month to see their roots, touring in a campervan

I'm taking the family camping ... bloody hell ... why isn't it blowing it's arse off ! My mate has been ringing me up every two hours saying" have you seen the weather for this week-end, my boats packed and ready to go !" Then he starts laughing, it was funny for the first two times but now it's wearing thin :{
I hate him rubbing it in !!!

It will be busy thats for sure, but I think I'll start by giving our Anzacs one morning out of 365 to get out of bed for sun up at the dawn service. Then Saturday looks a good morning to do it all again, watching the sun come up, only this time with lines in the water;)

My two Youngest boys (14 & 16) are in the Air Force Cadets so the dawn service on Friday is a given.

Then we've got the rest of the weekend for fishing!

Beauty!;D

Yeah Graeme, I'll miss it, but it ain't no good if the deckie and kids don't want to ride in it and the local riff raff keep chucking eggs at it.

I can just see the arguments with 4 of us cooped up in a campervan for a month if they think there's no room in a Whittley :-)

Just got back from my 7k walk mate, the tickers fine and breathing great but the leg that they took one of the veins from is giving me hell now and again.

I'm too busy nursing the deckie really, to think of my woes.

You stay well mate, and we'll catch up some time.

It is just glorious out on the bay at the moment. Hardly a breathe of wind here at Cleveland, 6 knots on the Banana Banks according to the last observation and only 7 knots at Cape Morton.

You can see the Big Sand Hills clear as a Bell across the bay and I have always found that a good sign/indicator.

Fingers crossed that it will hold, but I am reasonably confident now it is going to be a Corker!.

Cheers

Reel Nauti
24-04-2008, 06:54 PM
Hit the shops this afternoon for my first real purchase of softies, jigheads etc etc. I found it to be a bit overwhelming with all that is available, but I had logged in my memory some of the stuff everyone on Ausfish had said so I tried to arm myself as best as possible.

Reel Nauti is packed and ready to go, and we are going to the Bribie bridge at 0400 tomorrow. If you see a 4.4 white savage jabiru with "reel nauti" written in pink, please give us a wave and a hello.
First time at the bridge, first time with plastics, bloody hell I feel like a schoolgirl on a first date!!

Cheers and happy fishing to everyone for the weekend.

Lest We Forget.
