Looking at upgrading

Hi, looking at upgrading in my light gear my choices are the Daiwa Steez 2500 or the Daiwa Certate Hyper Custom 2500. Both very much the same prices are not too far apart either. Anyone here have either or both that could shed a bit of light on? cheers

I scored a 2500 certate and 6-10lb crankbait loomis for $500 and were only 2 weeks old they are a great outfit together you can cast all day no probs and know you have 7 kg of drag ................matt

The Hyper would be the stronger reel but also the heavier of the two. It depends on what you want to use it for, if it's finesse you want go the Steez but for the power the Hyper the one I would choose.

steez is an absolute breeze to throw lures with all day.Only recently got mine and I had the same choice to make!!I do alot of impoundment fishing so the lightness was a factor for me-both reels have that same 7kg drag.Team either reel to a lightweight rod an you'll be laughin'
