I like the look of this boat its called a new world its 28 feet long and 2.5 metres wide so its legal to tow.It comes with a volvo and leg but they arn't fitted. If i got this i would make a pod and put a 250 zuk on the bum.It dosn't have a price but it would be around 1 million yen(10 gees)shipping would be that again so with all the other crap 30 k would be the landed price. The boat is in japan.Who likes it? its supposed to be unsinkable::) ....jim

s the goods mate, shame about the engine box. If you put outboards on then it would be a mean rig. I would buy it for that price, nice entry in the bow. I dont think it would bang much in a head sea.

Jimbo,

I've looked at plenty of the Jap boats, and be prepared to spend a lot of money.

I was considering buying a 28ft Stratos C/C from there for about 24k delivered, but it got taken before I pulled the trigger. The exact boat is now lying in dry dock up near Raby Bay boat ramp, at the new owners premises. After seeing the actual condition, i'm not that pissed I missed out.

I know your experienced in the industry, but definately over estimate rather than under.

Regards

Darren

looks as though they have some ball valves fitted to the scuppers (self draining deck) not a fan of this sort of set-up at all. Might have different free-board when outboard and pod is fitted though.
Just a heads up

be very careful with ANY Boat from anywhere "up there" Quarrantine will kill you, Boats are just so cheap in Hong Kong and places , there is a few places that buy and sell from there, but some of the costs for a Privateer are prohibitive.

As you asked, I don't think it is financially a good option!
Include the price of your pod (which isn't cheap), motor, trailer, electronics, hidden repair/maintenance, insurance, etc. you could pick up a better boat ~5 yrs old locally for the same money without all the import stress and you'd have it within a few days.
Good luck and keep us posted please

You dont see many 28 foot centre consols for sale that are trailerable. It wouldnt owe me too much as i do pods and hull extensions stuff for a living....jim
